As a group made up of three women under twenty-one years old we decided to create an online presence that was reflective of both ourselves and most other teenagers our age.

Drinking and holding parties is one social activity that we all enjoy so we decided this would be a reflective presence of us as a group and one that would also be popular with others.

Lauren, one of the group members, makes a punch that a lot of her friends have asked the recipe for, so this gave us the idea to create a website that provided people with our favourite and popular drink recipes for a good night.

By making the site an interactive one in which viewers of our site can contribute their own recipes to we believe we have made our website more viewer friendly.

The interactive capability of our site is good for a popular culture based web page, as viewers like to be involved and feel that their opinion is valued. This also relates to the Long-tail theory as the theory outlines the importance of word of mouth advertising and how this advertising through recommendation from people about something they have enjoyed can make or break its popularity, taking things from a niche markets to popular culture.

After we decided on our idea we searched the Internet for popular drink recipes that we all liked. We decided to include a wide range of drinks from girly cocktails to extremely strong shots and shooters and of course Laurens famous punch.

We wanted to include non-alcoholic drinks as we all have friends who we enjoying having at our parties that cant drink alcohol.

We also thought it was important to provide a standard drink size indicator to familiarise viewers of the site with how much alcohol the drinks we published contain.

The overall look of our website was designed to appear fun, bright and inviting like we strive for our parties and drinks to be. By using bold bright colours throughout the website we have tried to create a positive energy to attract and hold viewers attention. We believe we provided enough information about each category of drinks we published for someone who has never heard about the kind of drink but without going into so much detail that it would bore those who do.

Our overall aim of the website was to provide viewers with enjoyable, informative, fun recipes and information to help them create tasty, satisfying beverages to set the mood for their parties. By using our favourtie recipes and shared knowledge about how to make parties enjoyable we believe we have created a online presence reflective of our personalities and common interest.
